Aroview: Set in a near-future ghetto dystopia, this slightly-plotted action spectacle thrills as a vehicle for its martial art of choice: Parkour, a fusion of kung fu athleticism and gravity-defying urban gymnastics.
Rigorously adhering to the mantra of excitement over exposition, and cast with stunt professionals over actors, little attention or detail is given to the film’s sci-fi scenario. Cue posturing, wall scaling, free running, and flamboyantly macho gunplay – all in the preposterous, wildly epileptic style of prolific French producer Luc Besson.

3 stars (Good Enough) Parkour 'inventor' David Belle stars in this near-future action flick that really shows off his athleticism and the raw abilities of the human body. Plenty of style, and some great stunt-work, this is mostly fresh and a joy to watch. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) The stunt work was good but the never ending violence just became meaningless. ~Tubbs
DVD includes optional English-language dub.
