Decameron, The (1970)
The characters contribute greatly to its entertainment value. The cinematography is easy on the eye, and the set designs are interesting.
Of Mice and Men (1992)
A solid story and very good performances throughout.- DVD $24.95
September Issue, The (2009)
The documentary is well made along with everything else on display. A privileged look at another world.
Catch and Release (2006)
Not my kind of screenplay, particularly at two hours, but Jennifer Garner and Juliette Lewis are as usual very good.
Funny Kinda Guy (2004)
The story is a bit different to the norm and some of the music is okay.
In Her Shoes (2005)
The screenplay needs patience as it does not have enough substance to justify the running time.
Coup de Torchon (Clean Slate) (1981)
Not sure if the racial rules were broken in 1981, but it is this theme which stands out in 2025. I thought the screenplay lost its way at times, but Noiret & Huppert work extremely well, & the oddness of the plot idea sees it through.
Night to Remember, A (1958)
Dramatised for effect at times, but it still contains enough genuine content to be worthwhile.- Blu-Ray $34.95
Words and Pictures (2013)
Popular and undemanding.
Without Limits (1998)
The re–creation of the running events was excellent.
