Aroview: Brisk, sombre-toned ITV production of the Austen romance about the attempt to re-kindle a romance, previously doomed by class division and family opinion, by forgiving past mistakes.

Hand-held camera work and suggestive close-ups may prove distracting from some viewers, and it arguably loses some of the story's essense in its attempt to attract a modern audience. Even so, another worthy addition to the canon of Austen adaptations.
