Wild River

Aroview: Romantic drama focused around an Authority agent (played with controlled complexity by Montgomery Clift) who meets with resistance and a fair share of romantic temptation when trying to persuade the residents of a small town to move from their homes to make way for a new dam.

This socially charged Elia Kazan (A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE) drama is suitably set against the vivid backdrop of the Tennessee Valley and the inner conflict and turmoil of the piece is admirably handled by its impressive cast line-up.
