A Very British Gangster
Aroview: Gay Manchester mob kingpin/community lynchpin Dominic Noonan is the main subject of this fly-on-the-wall look at his criminal lifestyle and socially conscious endeavours, directed by Mr Seedy Expose himself, Donal McIntyre.
Operating out of a decidedly unglamorous locale, Noonan's larger-than-life figure exploits the limelight afforded by McIntyre's often lurid fascination with his daily doings, giving an inside glimpse into a life much less ordinary. Some are bound to see it as a naive slice of vicarious voyeurism, nobbled by rote gangster roleplay, but with a personality as magnetic as Noonan's, this is the kind of vicarious voyeurism many will want to indulge in.
