Aroview: Studious Irish tragi-comedy centred on an ostracised small-town petrol station owner who attempts to open up to those around him with unthinkable results.
Austerely shot and told, this low-key character portrait might prove to be a bit slow moving for some, but patient audiences will be rewarded with a remarkably nuanced performance from Shortt, who brings a considerable depth of humanity and humour to a character hampered by intellectual disability and the prejudices of his 'community'.
