Blue State
Aroview: Politically skewed road movie following an ardent liberal who makes good on a drunken promise to move to Canada if George Bush wins the election.
Trumpeting a peculiarly Hollywood brand of agitprop, this grass-is-always-greener tale perhaps arrives a little late to engage with audiences in the prevailing political atmosphere, and occasionally feels like an excuse for Canadian-bashing, but mostly gets away with its silly but serious premise due to a likable cast of do-gooders.
