Aroview: Small-town doctor Liam Neeson discovers a young woman untouched by twentieth century developments who has even developed her own language. Ambitious material is admirably tackled, and Jodie Foster succeeds in a difficult, emotive performance, though it often feels less like a movie than a showcase for a star turn.
