Ten Empty
Aroview: A prodigal son returning from Sydney to his suburban family home is forced to face up to the stark reality of a father and brother struggling to cope with repressed emotions and debilitating depression.
The debut feature for actor Anthony Hayes frequently finds itself in overly familiar thematic territory, but is served well by a committed cast, and though ultimately unable to overcome a general lack of narrative focus, is a solid addition to the suburban dysfunction dramas so beloved of Aussie filmmakers.
