Quid Pro Quo

Aroview: Offbeat indie thriller focused on a wheelchair-bound radio reporter sent to investigate the emerging trend of people paying doctors to remove their legs in order to become paralytic.

Treating a rather unusual fetish with a refreshing lack of judgment, this goes in for largely effective psychological unease, with the arresting Farmiga lending the film a seductively sinister allure. Let down by some unnecessary exposition near the end, but otherwise an interesting idea that seeps under the skin.
