Aroview: Rather vague, king-sized remake of the 1951 sci-fi classic, in which an alien visitor brings to earth a warning of imminent apocalypse.

Retiring the 50’s paranoia for nuclear holocaust, this attempts valiantly to add a fear of environmental catastrophe to the equation, although relies much too heavily on bulk CG-effects to convey the message. Keanu Reeves plays the film’s pivotal extraterrestrial with the kind of blankness only he is renowned for.
