My Best Friend's Girl

Aroview: Crass comedy starring Cook as a foul-mouthed 'emotional terrorist' who gets hired to take girls on the worst dates of their lives in order to convince them to return to their previous boyfriends, although his latest venture hits a snag when the girl in question just wants a raunchy fling.

This requires a certain suspension of morality in order to be enjoyed, for the central premise of male mental and verbal abuse towards women as 'comedy' can leave a nasty sting if one were to take it at face value; view it instead as a vehicle for the swaggering, free-wheeling Cook, and there are a few laughs to be had, at his expense, naturally. Also features a cameo from Alec Baldwin who in his brief screentime steals the show.
