Black Angel

Aroview: The husband of a murdered woman and the wife of the man who was convicted for the killing (Duryea and Vincent) team up to prove his innocence, until they both discover nothing is as straightforward as they first thought.

This often ignored, riveting film noir has a terrific premise, aided by a delicate handling of twists and turns and carried with aplomb by Duryea (never better) and Vincent. Notable for the twist in its last few moments which will leave you genuinely surprised.
