Yes Man

Aroview: Jim Carrey plays it straight(ish) as a man who loses his cynicism and compulsion to says 'no' when he signs up for a self-help program that offers prosperity and happiness through saying 'yes' to everything.

A strong-than-usual premise bouys this otherwise standard Carrey-on comedy, though it eventually loses its focus and squanders its potential as something more than an amusement - a little more patience might have turned this into a doozey. Still one could do worse - Zooey Deschanel appeals as ever, and Kiwi comic Rhys Darby endearingly reprises his "Murray" schtick from FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS.
