Flash Of Genius
Aroview: True story of Robert Kearns (Kinnear) a college professor who invented a wiper blade mechanism idea that he claims was stolen by automotive giant Ford, and his subsequent emotional and legal battle to be vindicated.
Kinnear plays the down-at-heel, indignant everyman he's known for in films such as FAST FOOD NATION and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, and though some events are a little thinly sketched, this engages as a modest story of an obsessive idealist caught up in a world of 'checkbook morality'. Crossing the white collar/blue collar divide, this is a likely relate as much to legal eagles as petrol-heads.
