Adventures of Food Boy, The

Aroview: HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL alumnus Lucas Grabeel moves centre stage here for this High School family comedy with a mildly bizarre twist - he inherits the power to conjure food out of his bare hands!

Grabeel has an appealing presence that will endear the legion of HSM fans, but this independent production misses the Disney slickness, and there's something slighty queasy about food and drink emanating from fleshy palms and being thrown around with uncontrollable abandon. Best to eat first.
