Revitalising many of the cliches of the teen genre, DIRTY DANCING-choreographer dir. Ortega wisely emphasises the zesty dance routines and the terrific musical score, which features many catchy numbers. Well worth a look for those in need of a wide-eyed, twinkle-toed boost.

2 stars (Good Try) The songs are not tuneful but no one has told the cast that who sing them with gusto. Unfortunately the kids have been Disneyfied but the dance numbers are very good. ~Tubbs
