Aroview: Darkly comic supernatural series following newspaper reporter Carl Kochak as he attempts to uncover supernatural occurrences in downtown Chicago.

Despite the odd flirtation with camp, this is a more serious offering of supernatural television from the 70s, and paved the way for future success-stories of the genre such as THE X-FILES - although this remains in a class of its own thanks to the charm of McGavin's entirely unlikely hero.

4 stars (Very Good) Far superior to the new series by the same name. McGavin poured his heart into this project. Formulaic episodes but the humor and antiauthoritarian attitude is wonderful. X-Files come out of this work. ~spikenz
