Surveillance
Aroview: Divisive thriller following two FBI agents who must piece together three very different eyewitness accounts of a murder in a small town, in order to uncover the truth.
This is the second feature from David Lynch's daughter Jennifer, and although it is a far more pedestrian effort than her excruciating debut BOXING HELENA, there are still a few 'Lynchian-lite' hangovers (extreme close-ups of inanimate objects, an obsession with cigarettes etc), which painfully slow down an otherwise enjoyably pulpy (read: silly) thriller. It seems Lynch Jr remains content to sit in the shadow of her old man, for now.
