My Bloody Valentine
Aroview: Remake of the 1981 slasher film sees a group of teens pursued at a Valentine's Day party - in an abandoned mineshaft, of course - by a psycho killer.
This insiders homage to the teen slasher genre is surprisingly good fun, and although it wears its ironic heart very much on its sleeve, there are scares to be had thanks to an outstanding grasp of 3D technology, which sends eyeballs, jawbones and all manner of ick into your living room with yucky realism. Leagues ahead of most horror remakes, or worse, 're-imaginings'.

4 stars (Very Good) Wonderful in 3D, and more plain in 2D, this remake is surprisingly fun (and one of the best remakes in years), with some graphic and intense scenes of a creepy mining killer on the loose. Well worth a watch for horror fans. ~Tom H
