Green Lantern: First Flight

Aroview: A solid animated outing for one of the lesser-known superheros of the DC Universe, The Green Lantern, who gains his powers through a magical ring that he can use to manipulate his environment.

Helmed under the experienced hand of dir. Montgomery (SUPERMAN: DOOMSDAY & WONDER WOMAN), this begins as an origin story but soon twists and turns into a more action-packed, sinister direction. As with Montgomery's previous work, some of the relentless action might be a little much for younger kids, but the intelligent storyline is recommended for any child who can appreciate a bit of a challenge.

Succeeded by a 2011 movie, GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD KNIGHTS.
