Superman: Doomsday

Aroview: Brutal animation based on 'The Death of Superman' comic where our red caped superhero must defeat the creature 'Doomsday' and rise from the dead to defend his honour.

Manages to effectively condense the comic series with a few liberties taken to keep the pace up for this film version. Slips in a few surprises for fans of the original but is solid enough to compel newcomers to the franchise with its snappy storyline and effective animation.

Succeeded by a 2011 movie, ALL-STAR SUPERMAN.
