Aroview: Something of a hybrid of the historical epic and ghost story, this unique genre entry from Finland concerns two brothers haunted by a young girl whom they attacked during the land wars between Sweden and Russia in the Fifteenth Century.

Though it is not completely successful in melding its twin genres, its high production values lend an air of gravitas, while it is worthy and ambitious in attending both the details of Nordic territorial history and its central theme of personal guilt in an age of wanton barbarism.
