Dead Snow
Aroview: Nordic splatter comedy pitches a group of fresh-faced medical students against a hoard of re-animated Nazis in the snowy highlands.
The Nazis, the snow and the accents provide a minor spin on the genre, but all the other conventions of "cabin gothic" are plodded through, beginning with a creepy local with a nasty tale of war crimes. The acting and production is above-average, the script and the special effects less so - one might need a theatre full of yahoos to amplify the "money shots" and forgive the vacuum of logic that inhabits almost every frame.

4 stars (Very Good) This is a splatter through and through, with little original content and plenty of references to other horror titles. But it’s still highly and violently entertaining, especially with friends. Plus the viral ad campaign was pure gold: “Dead Snow My Ass.” ~Tom H
3 stars (Good Enough) Plenty of blood and black currant jam. ~Tubbs
