Across The Hall

Aroview: The presence of the late Brittany Murphy (in one of her last roles) adds a layer of dread to this gloomy "hotel noir" about a man who checks into a hotel where his fiance is cheating on him, with plans for double murder. Displaying the tell-tale signs of a project expanded from a short film, this commendable debut feature is otherwise prone to self-conscious direction and over-stylisation.
