Galton and Simpson Playhouse, The (TV Series)

Aroview: Long regarded as Britain's most successful comedy duo, Richard Galton and Alan Simpson (STEPTOE AND SON) turned their hand to one-off stories in this series of hypothetical 'pilots'. The high caliber of scripts attracted the creame de la creame of comedy actors from 1970s TV, including Arthur Lowe, Leonard Rossiter, and Patricia Hayes. Strangely enough, none of the episodes were made into a series.
