Finding Bliss
Aroview: Patchy yet thoughtful indie sex comedy anchored by the charming Leelee Sobieski as an insecure young film-maker who reluctantly lands a job as a porn editor in order to support her artistic aspirations on the side.
Based on the experiences of writer-director Julie Davis (AMY'S O), this is a unique portrait of the porn industry through innocent eyes that sympathetically exposes Hollywood's 'ugly sister' while not flinching from the moral and commercial conflict at the heart of the drama. Though her vision is a little artless at times, her big-hearted script and nose for comedy make it a not-so-guilty pleasure.
