It's Complicated
Aroview: A divorcee romantic-comedy, and a pretty good one, sees Meryl Streep in comedic bloom as her unlikely affair with her brazen ex-husband (Baldwin) complicates a burgeoning romance with a sweet-natured architect (Martin).
As a female-oriented relationship farce it tends to push buttons too-obviously marked 'giggle', but feels somewhat refreshing that the cavorting characters are in their late '50s. Middle-age has been kind to the radiant Streep, less so to her puffy-cheeked suitors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, who deliver playfulness and earnestness with a mix of intentional and unintentional cringe.

2 stars (Good Try) The incessant smiling and smirking of the characters wears you out. Martin looks like he's dropped in from another planet. ~Tubbs
