Silent Wedding

Aroview: Gentle comedy of a bride and groom whose wedding is interrupted by the death of Stalin, and the period of one weeks mourning effective immediately. Determined to go ahead with their nuptials the couple hit on an ingenious though dangerous solution.

Although the sudden shift in tone between raucous comedy and tragedy may jarr for some, it effectively carries the weighty political message home, and the event itself is a masterful piece of very quiet, and very poignant, hilarity.
