Aroview: Devotional New York art patrons Herb and Dorothy Vogel are the subject of this delightful portrait, taking us inside the couple’s modest one bedroom apartment – also home to one the world’s most envied minimalist and conceptual art collections.
Humble and unpretentious, the Vogel’s unorthodox approach to acquiring art – they make a living as a postal worker and librarian respectively – is just one of the documentary’s many inspiring insights, as is their genuine disinterest in selling or profiting from works by the likes of Schnabel, Picasso, and Pollack (art which they'll eventually donate to public museums).

2 stars (Good Try) Aka "The Rubbish Collectors" but at least the Vogels weren't trying to profit & were sincere. It tells you something about the art establishment however & you would think that a more discerning future generation of curators will toss most of it out. ~Tubbs
