Aroview: Satisfying, well-realized tale of an Israeli flight attendant who becomes the reluctant guardian of a six-year-old Chinese boy after when his mother mysteriously disappears.
The focused storytelling maintains a subtle sense of humour and emotional depth as the crisis falls upon sibling and marital strife, and it provides keen insight into the curious cultures of Israel and China. Also, BaoQi Chen is adorably innocent as the moppet, while its sense of against-the-odds optimism extends its appeal to younger viewers undeterred by subtitles.
