Frazetta - Painting With Fire
Aroview: Trail-blazing illustrator and comic artist Frank Frazetta is under the spotlight in this documentary on his life and work, showcasing his ground-breaking fantasy designs and collaborations with some of the leading figures in graphic art and film.
Born in Brooklyn and drawing by the age of eight, Frazetta's virtuosity has come with extraordinary trials, not least of which are the six strokes he has suffered, forcing him to re-learn drawing with his left hand. His mythically inspired paintings, now worth $250,000 on the open market, have graced the pages of many a graphic novel, most famously Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian.
