Aroview: Likable animation of JRR Tolkien's fantasy classic, admirably captures the personalities of the novel's horde of eccentric characters and creatures.

Dir. Bakshi (FRITZ THE CAT) used 1970s 'cutting-edge' techniques that now lend a certain nostalgia. Note: the story only covers the first 2/3 of the book, Bakshi was saving the rest for later, but sadly never got around to it.
