Aroview: The life of Appalachian mountain dancer and criminal cult figure Jesco White is the inspiration for this nightmarish hillbilly biopic filmed in black-and-white.

Oddly produced by a British team with British thesp Edward Hogg in the lead (who does very well), but the necessary authenticity is overshadowed by heavy stylization and rather intrusive use of narration.

4 stars (Very Good) the violence is impressive. the soundtrack superb - it goes on long after the end credits have finished. pity there wasn't a bit more dancing. a breath of foul air - recommended. ~Tubbs
