1984

Aroview: The first adaptation of George Orwell's visionary novel is this little known, stark BBC television production. Apparently hated by his widow for the way it bowdlerizes the story and gets the larger picture of Orwell's dystopia completely wrong, it nevertheless is more faithful to the book in some parts than the definitive 1984 version that will forever overshadow it.

Worth seeing as a curiosity.
