Answer Man, The

Aroview: Misanthropic self-help author Daniels finds his curmudgeonly nature challenged when his paths cross with single mother Graham and recovering alcoholic Pucci.

Earnest drama is well intentioned but bumbles along seemingly unsure if it wants to be a trenchant critique of the self-help industry or an exercise in gooey sentimentality, but the two leads acquit themselves well with Jeff Daniels delivering another fine portrait of smugness.
