Aroview: A wonderfully inspired, surrealist comedy from the creators of THE MIGHTY BOOSH that follows a young recluse on an imaginary European road trip from within his Yorkshire flat.
Especially up the alley of fans of off-the-wall comedy in the British tradition, this also shares a cultural sensibility with contemporary comic funksters like Michel Gondry, Flight of the Conchords, Wes Anderson and Jarod Hess. MIGHTY BOOSH alumni Noel Fielding and Julian Barrett make hilarious guest-star appearances here, but lesser-knowns Ed Hogg and Simon Farnaby more than the hold stage as their surrogate leads, and are supported by a script that doesn't tire of invention. The chisel-jawed Hogg in particular, seems destined for bigger things, though on this evidence, maybe not necessarily better.

4 stars (Very Good) Feels like a short expanded to feature length and some of the comedic business is a bit flat, but overall this is charming, funny and even quite moving. Awe-inspiring production design on what must surely have been a zero budget. ~HiFi
3 stars (Good Enough) It gets past halfway very well but then the screenplay loses its way and ends up being too long. However, including the opening credits, the art and design work is terrific. ~Tubbs
