Aroview: The director and star of FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL reunite in this loosely connected follow-up about a record company intern who's hired to accompany an out-of-control British rock star to a concert at L.A.'s Greek Theater.
Baggy comedy suffers from having a one-note premise, and feels like a collection of scenes that rely on the bad-boy pop star schtick of shameless celeb-comic Russell Brand. Frankly, if you didn't warm to 'Sarah Marshall' then you can forget this.

3 stars (Good Enough) ~normfilmbuff
2 stars (Good Try) Can't believe I'm saying this, but: if only they had the Farrelly Brothers' panache... Brand's character is such a douchebag you hope he overdoses. Mocking pop-culture feels awfully rich when you're so clearly, ecstatically, in it's vacuous thrall. ~fairbrother
2 stars (Good Try) Predictable, boring, could even be bothered watching the last half hour... ~Jack
3 stars (Good Enough) Funnier than expected spin-off following one of the better characters from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Could have done without P-Diddy (or whatever he calls himself these days), but Jonah and Brand are good. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) The appeal of the two males wears off after a few seconds. You feel for Elisabeth Moss but I suppose she has to earn a living. ~Tubbs
