5 stars (Exceptional) Michael Caine at his best! ~PDF
4 stars (Very Good) Stand out performances from the two leads plus Harris & Creed-Miles (best scene deleted). A near classic - body count a couple too high.Watch Caine's interview about his roots if available. ~Tubbs
2 stars (Good Try) Grim, unedifying stuff. Politically unsophisticated, slow and laborious, and in places leeringly sensationalistic (what circle of hell did that drug dealer come from?). For all its faults, I preferred Gran Torino. ~HiFi
1 star (Turkey) Daft reactionary nonsense, likely to appeal to stuffy old farts who would like to be allowed to shoot their young noisy neighbours. ~Pearce
