Aroview: Another gutsy Showtime drama centred on a woman in mid-life peril (a la WEEDS, NURSE JACKIE), starring Laura Linney as a high school teacher who opts to forgo treatment of her recent cancer diagnosis in favour of living what's left of her life to the fullest.
Although a supreme downer at the best of times, Linney's bright and assured performance lifts the show from its doldrums more than enough times to qualify it as a comedy, albeit one with a heavy heart.
