Mademoiselle Chambon
Aroview: Though familiar bourgeois territory for the French, this softly finessed chamber drama of a blue-collar mason (Lindon) who contemplates an affair with his son's erudite school teacher (Kiberlain) is riveting in its anticipation of passion that may or may not eventuate.
Carefully drawn characters and an often wordless focus on the emotional complications of human attraction make dir. Brizé's film a particularly mature exploration of infidelity on screen.

4 stars (Very Good) So understated and subtle, I loved it. Very real and convincing. ~Keeshy
2 stars (Good Try) There are three fine performances but unless you are a romantic the screenplay starts to drag when things become predictable. The ending has been done before. ~Tubbs
