Aroview: Stranger-than-fiction documentary in which a Pentecostal minister in San Francisco receives "word from God" that he attempt to write and direct his own cinematic epic, a sort of cross between STAR WARS and THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

Relying on the seemingly never-ending goodwill of his congregation and family, his folly is obvious throughout (if not his duplicity), though first-time dir. Jacobs is respectful of his devout subjects and is rewarded with generous observational access.
