Aroview: Colin Farrell vamps it up in this prosaic remake of the 80's cult horror, with Anton Yelchin the hapless teen convinced his neighbour is a vampire.

David Tennent assumes the show-biz occultist role played by Roddy McDowall in the original, but his 'Russell Brand'-schtick can't rescue it from all the misjudged detours of the script. Those unfamiliar with the original will be more forgiving.
