Aroview: Absorbing US remake of the hit Danish homicide serial remains faithful to the long-form, deep-focus procedural format of the original series, with lead actor Mireille Enos compelling as the headstrong detective charged with solving an increasingly complex and politically fraught murder case.

Though the ever-complicated storytelling reaches more and more for red herrings as the season progresses (until its controversial ending), patient viewers will certainly be rewarded by the depth of the characterisations and investigation into matters well beyond the 'whodunnit' mechanics of the plot.
