In Time
“A pleasing throwback to an era in which ideas powered movies more than special effects.”~Brent Simon, Screen International
Aroview: More high-concept futurism from ex-pat Kiwi Andrew Niccol (GATTACA, S1M0NE) finds Justin Timberlake on the lam in a world where units of time have replaced money as trading currency.
Presenting a world where the super-rich can live (youthfully) for hundreds of years while the poor die young, this is rich in social allegory and genre intrigue, though in the middle class when it comes to fully exploiting the premise. Still, a conceptually imaginative twist on the LOGAN'S RUN model.
