“The purity of the nostalgia turns this franchise film into a love letter to childhood.”~Bruce Diones, New Yorker
Aroview: Jim Henson's beloved family of puppets make a long-overdue comeback in this buoyant musical-comedy reunion of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and company.
Missing the iconic voice-work of Henson and Frank Oz, this takes a while to feel comfortable in its new skin, but writer-star Jason Segel's man/muppet interplay finds its stride and wins one over before the "let's put on a show" finale. The Flight of the Conchord-ish songs were written and produced by Bret McKenzie, who won an Oscar for Best Original Song with "Man or Muppet", and the film was directed by FOTC alumni, James Bobin.

4 stars (Very Good) I dreaded the idea of a Muppet movie from people out of the Apatow stable but this works beautifully. ~Pearce
