Talented and curious enough to be able to make tangy lemonade from sour lemons, Habicht's forte is being able to assimilate limited resources and random elements into the character - and in this case, structure - of his art. Here he turns native New Yorkers into script consultants with inspired and amusing results, even if he sometimes doesn't have the discipline to fully harness the ideas of their narrative potential.
