Evil Dead, The
Aroview: Made on a budget of less than $100,000, this explosive splatter movie takes gore to the very limits. Colossal amounts of tomato sauce fill the screen as one by one the young cast mutate into outrageously savage demons.

4 stars (Very Good) Enjoy. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) The Evil Dead is still a truly great horror film. It is extremely gory and no one is safe. This was one of the notorious "Video Nasties" because of one scene, but the rest of the film is pretty harrowing as well. A must see. ~Anon
4 stars (Very Good) For all of the camp fun in this movie, it also manages to provide a sense of dreadful isolation that always makes this film creepier than I remember. I'm a sucker for these practical fx, and this entry balances the madcap/horror line best of the series. ~Pop&Coffee
5 stars (Exceptional) ~Wyatt Earp
