Red Lights
“A bold effort by Cortés to step up his directorial game, equal parts deft and daft, that coyly addresses the divide between seeing and believing.”~The Playlist
Aroview: A pair of investigators famous for exposing fraudulent psychics meet their match when they take on a legendary blind mystic (played by Robert De Niro) whose powers defy belief.
Dir. Cortes, following on from the excellent puzzle box thriller BURIED, tends to over-complicate things with an intriguing yet wayward sense of suspense that drifts into implausibility, although for what it's worth, a great idea to begin with.

2 stars (Good Try) Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Sigourney is written out early in the film and its left to Murphy to carry things. He is awful in this one. ~Tubbs
1 star (Turkey) Begins promisingly, but is then comprehensively (no, really!) bungled. When I thought the sinking feeling had bottomed out, there were lows still to come... ~HiFi
