“Geoffrey Rush brings striking depth of character to a classic Old World mystery set against the sophisticated backdrop of Europe's art auctions.”~Hollywood Reporter
Aroview: An obsessive antiques dealer becomes entangled with an heiress who asks him appraise a series of family art works in this baroque mystery from CINEMA PARADISO director Giuseppe Tornatore, his first in English since THE LEGEND OF 1900.
Adorned by exquisite art works and production design and a score from the legendary Ennio Morricone, it's best enjoyed as a fable, as the ambitous, intriguing plot is burdened by some heavy-handed symbolism and dialogue exposition.

4 stars (Very Good) Intriguing story, but by the end I was kind of angry. ~Truant
3 stars (Good Enough) The screenplay took a dip as soon as the love interest kicked in and so did Rush's performance although admittedly his character was inexperienced with women. Although the promising screenplay was a disappointment the production values were excellent. ~Tubbs
